Itinerary:

Welcome to Almaty, the land of apples. The name of Almaty or “Alma Tau” literally means Apple Mountain and here in the Tian Shan Mountains there are many varieties of apples including the wild apples. Our team will meet you on your arrival in the city and it can be Almaty International Airport or any other station. You will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening you can enjoy a short city tour and visit some of the main attractions of Almaty. Welcome dinner at restaurant

Shymbulak is one of the largest ski resorts in Central Asia. The resort is located 25 km from Almaty at an altitude of 2250m / 7’380ft. Here you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Ile-Alatau National Park, including the stunning Talgar Mountain. There are 5 cable cars and the highest one can take you to an altitude of 3200m/ 10’500ft.

Have fun skiing and snowboarding!

For advanced skiers, we suggest a personalised free ride tour where you can visit the remote corners of the Ile-Alatau mountains.

If you wish, we can stay at the Shymbulak Ski Resort Hotel and enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature.

Today we drive to the Kolsai Lakes National Park where you can enjoy the stunning frozen Kaindy and Kolsai Lakes. Kaindy is one of the most unique lakes formed as a result of an earthquake in 1911. Here you can enjoy lakes with trees. The next attraction is the lower Kolsai Lake. This is one of the three system lakes known as the “Pearl of Tien Shan”. Overnight in a cosy resort.

Charyn Canyon is located 200 km east of Almaty. Charyn National Park is part of Kazakhstan’s famous ‘Golden Triangle’, which also includes Altyn Emel National Park and Kolsai Lakes National Park. Charyn Canyon is a stunning natural wonder known for its beautiful scenery and unique rock formations that have been shaped by water and wind erosion to create colourful sculptures and breathtaking scenery. The canyon is 150 to 300 metres deep and is made up of red sedimentary sandstone. It is often compared to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but it is smaller but no less spectacular. Drive to Almaty

Today you can enjoy the beautiful Big Almaty Lake, which is one of the must-see places for visitors to Almaty. It is a stunning mountain lake located at an altitude of 2511 metres in the Trans Ile-Alatau mountains and is the most recommended place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Like most of the lakes in the Tien Shan mountains, the lake was formed as a result of a series of earthquakes. Optionally you can enjoy the hot spring, which is very beneficial for your health. Back to Almaty

Today we will take you on a city tour, visiting Panfilov Park, Kok Tobe Hill and the local bazaar. Today you will have the opportunity to learn more about the traditions, cultures, history and way of life of the people of Almaty. The city tour continues with a farewell dinner where you can enjoy traditional food and drinks. End of service. Thank you for coming!
